artist statement

I developed my conceptual art around my philosophy of life. In my art, I talk about my experience in a collective sense. I think of myself as a “messenger” who wants to bring forward issues that matter to all of us as human beings. I analyze and put in perspective how things are formed and connected philosophically. I developed my analytical skills through exposure to Western philosophies. Which allowed me to broaden my views of the world.

I wish to continue studying colors, media and how they interact. Also I want to keep exploring beyond using traditional and non-traditional painting technologies and techniques. In term of subject matter, I am interested in “seeing” and conceptualizing the ordinary matters that pass by unnoticed. I want to uncover a culture or cultures of awareness and hope to train the mind to “see” things differently. Media, form and color are merely elements at my disposal that I can use to create the visual impact necessary to deliver my message. For the past two decades, I have been involved in understanding the process of creating and delivering art, and new techniques technique.

I want to stay focused on my painting techniques as a method for exploring the possibilities in my approach. Painting has provided me with a tremendous flexibility in which it could be expanded and transformed and incorporated into many forms. It is not limited to the boundaries or the surface of the canvas. In addition, the medium is generous. It is compatible with today’s technology and compatible with my inventive mind as well.

I wish to keep integration of technology in part of my artwork. Bring forward the beauty of East and West philosophically and aesthetically. I wish to undertake a more philosophical and intellectual approach to my art.
